My thoughts during The Bachelor: Women Tell All this week:

“Nick looks like Buddy the Elf with that stupid hat on!”

“I wonder if Raven finally had her ‘fireworks’.”

“Yep, she got her ‘fireworks’ because she’s dancing through the snow like a lunatic.”

“If Vanessa says ‘core values’ one more time…”

“Nick’s lisp is distracting.”

“Corrine and Taylor are beyond annoying.”

“Josephine is Corrine’s cheerleader for all her bad behavior.”

I am way too emotionally invested in to this show! It’s sad/awesome that The Bachelor/Bachelorette has turned in to one of America’s favorite past times. A show about a guy dating multiple women at once watched by women who hate guys who date multiple women at once. But I love it and I have no shame what so ever! Counting down the days till next Monday!

Now, who’s been to the Top of the Rock?! We ventured up to the tippy top with Ling on our last day in New York and it was absolute magic seeing the city at every angle. Besides the fact that we we all three got frostbite, it was well worth it going all the way to the 70th floor! The things we do for a good picture!

You can’t go to NYC without going to Bloomingdales. It’s like the Taj Mahal of shopping malls. They carry one of my favorite brands and these dresses are from their most recent collection! The bell sleeves and length of Hailey’s dress is perfection and we can’t get over the lace detail on Kailey’s dress. Both have a really great tailored fit, which is always hard to find for our petite frames.

We are working on a travel guide of our favorite places in New York City! That post should be up next week! We hope you have a fantastic Thursday!

Happy Monday! We’ve been a little negligent with our blog posts for the past couple of weeks but we’re back on our normal schedule with this my new fav jeans and bodysuit {that’s under $40}! I’ve never been a fan of bodysuits, I don’t like my clothes really tight because it makes me look smaller {when you’re 5 ft, you wanna look bigger}! BUT I couldn’t pass up the white ribbon  that ties in the back, such a fun and feminine touch! And THESE jeans! They fit me a to a “T”, hold me in in all the right places, and make my legs look miles long! They are at a great price and come in several washes! I have no shame in admitting that I wear them almost everyday! #sorrynotsorry

Side note: I bought these right before I went to New York and they were a little too long for my shortness. I really needed to get them hemmed but didn’t have time so I took matters into my own hands! I cut them off myself and to my surprise I really like the raw hem! So they will probably stay like this!

We have some exciting news! LiketoKnow. It lauched their app this morning! Say you see something on Instagram and you screenshot our picture that’s linked with LTK. Once you download the app, you will get a notification with all of the product details with ready-to-shop links! How cool is that?! The technology is just unreal!

Keeping it short and sweet this morning! We’re headed to a girlfriend’s tonight to watch The Bachelor! Three hours of the women tell all and I look forward to this every season! What team are you on, Raven or Vanessa?! Team neither because they are both too good for Nick!

Happy hump day! We are so excited to showcase this look from our New York Fashion Week trip. This denim jacket was EVERYTHING from Planet Blue Houston! It was so edgy and fun, and something that we normally wouldn’t have gone for. However, when in Rome…or NYC!

We definitely will be back, but there are definitely some things we would do differently and not fret over. For other bloggers who want to brave the New York hustle and bustle, we’re sharing a few of our tips that we learned along the way! It’s not as intimidating as it sounds, but be prepared for the following:

  1. Find out which PR companies work for the brands and designers that you love, and start reaching out to them! You can usually start by simply contacting the brand via instamessage or emailing their contact listed on their website requesting which PR company represents them. We would wait at least 3-4 weeks before fashion week.
  2. PR companies take FOREVER to get back to you so don’t be discouraged when you do not get an immediate response. This is the most nerve-wracking part about planning your trip because it’s hard to make an itinerary around shows that you may or may not get into.
  3. Always follow up with every email that you send out. We got more responses from the followup email then our initial contact.
  4. Include your media kit with your email. This should include a small description about yourself, blog, social media platforms, and your media stats!
  5. Do a little research on each show/designer to make sure that you’re into what the brand puts out. We made the mistake of going to a show that was quite…um…interesting. To make the most of your trip, don’t just go into any Johnny Joe show that invites you. Be authentic to yourself, sister!
  6. Network and make friends with other creatives at the show! Everyone is coming from all over at these shows, and it’s so fun to hear about everyone’s journey!
  7. Have fun (maybe with a little rose).

Check back later this week for more of our trip to New York! We’ll be talking about our favorite must-see spots and restaurants, and how to navigate through New York!
