Madewell Obsessed

Happy Monday, loves! We hope all of you mama’s had a lovely Mother’s Day! We spent the day by the pool with our family and had a little fun in the sun with Lily girl! If you don’t have an inflatable swan yet, get one. We have never heard Lily laugh so hard while playing on it! We bought our’s here!

We are gearing up for our next trip, and we can’t wait to begin our quick 2 day adventure in San Francisco with our sweet Nana! Our flight leaves Sunday evening, and we’re cramming a week’s worth of fun into Monday and Tuesday. We’re so obsessed with traveling right now, and returning to California for the second time this month is making us pretty tickled. Hopefully the Napa wineries give us a similar “tickle” (LOL who are we kidding…we’ll be a hot mess express and Nana is the conductor). It’s our first time to San Fran, so if any of you readers have some suggestions on the best (and prettiest) places to eat and visit give us a holla!

“Where you invest your love, you invest your life.”

We wore these outfits out to lunch in Houston (such a shocking outing). We’re super in love with Madewell, at the moment, as you’ll see that H’s overalls, top, and K’s top is all Madewell. Their style is so laid back with a perfect touch of details, and their pieces are really classic. There’s so many pieces that we wear that our Nana will say, “Oh girls, I had something just like that when I was a 17!” The brand reminds us of 50s California vibes meets Brigitte Bardot in the South of France. Anyway, H’s top is on sale (also similar tops are linked in case your size isn’t available)!

We hope you all have a great week and that your Monday isn’t too terrible! 🙂

Double Shot of Sass | Current Favorites

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve posted our “Current Favorites” (really more like three months but nonetheless), and this post is inspired by my new apartment that I (Kailey) will be moving to in the next few weeks! I’m so excited for a little change of scenery within the city and for a fresh start. The apartment I’m currently living in is so special to me. It was my first home all by myself, and it really taught me what it’s like to be COMPLETELY independent. These walls have seen many highs and a few lows, and I’m grateful for both all the same. But it’s time for new adventures! I’m counting down the days till I can throw a little partay at the new pad! P.S. Gifts are my love language, so if you’re invited you know the drill 😉 Showing up to any shindig empty handed is a major faux pas, so we hope this little guide gives you a few ideas on what to bring to your next house warming party whether it be for newlyweds or for one of your single ladies!

Lynette Wine Holder

This simple, gold frame wine holder would be a perfect addition to any kitchen! Might as well throw in a bottle of bubbly with this gift!

Gilden Swans Jewelry Holder

A little whimsical – a little glamorous. Perfect for the gal that loves jewelry and loves to have her gems on display.

Bobby Pin Print

Super cute addition to a powder room!

“Shake, Shake, Shake” Gold Cocktail Shaker

Statement piece for the bar cart! If you bring this to a party, you’re the designated bartender!

Agate Wine Stopper

Do I really need to explain? SO. STUNNING.

“The Neighbors Have Better Stuff” Doormat

So snarky, and I love it!

“Be My Guest” Tray

Love the pale pink and font of this fun tray!

Slim Aarons: Women Coffee Table Book

Coffee table books are one of my favorite gifts to give – and receive! Rarely do I actually read them, but they’re just so pretty!

Diptyque Mimosa Candle

My FAVORITE candle ever! It burns so evenly and is so fragrant!

Tassel Party Picks

Say you’ve decided to bring a charcuterie board to the party, add these fun tassel party picks for a little color and flare!

Maison DuPre Match Strike

Vintage inspired from the late 19th  century and early 20th century! A little history, they were usually gifted to bars from distributors for advertising. I have an odd obsession with matches and I would love to have this for my bar cart or coffee table.

Flamingo Tea Light Candles

These little tea lights would be so cute for a pool party or to brighten up a table! Love them for summer soirees!

What Would Beyonce Do? Nameplate

Such a cheeky little home decor gift! Would be so cute for an office or bookshelf!

We are home from Los Angeles with the Sunkissed team, and we are feeling so inspired by all the California vibes. We were in a strong love affair with New York City, but we’ve cheated on the Big Apple with La La Land. We absolutely adored the weather, quaint restaurants, night life, city views, and easy living. We’ll just forget about the traffic because that was the only part of the trip that we could’ve lived without. The entire trip included one wild story after the next! We were front row at the live taping of Dancing With The Stars (we also barely made it through the doors because they were so packed, and we hope you got to see us try really hard to not make eye contact with the camera LOL), had brunch at The Ivy, Peter was our waiter at Sur (he was just as beautiful and awkward as he is on Vanderpump Rules), had major La La Land moments hiking at Griffith Observatory, recruited a model for our Sunkissed styled shoot at Delilah (the cutest restaurant in LA), and shot in Laguna Beach. We had the pleasure of working with the most inspiring creatives during our shoot so check out the Sunkissed Instagram (@sunkissedandmadeup) to see all of the beauty! We’re planning on doing a travel guide to visiting one of our favorite cities so stay tuned!

We are finally in full fledge spring mode over here, and we are loving these bright and fresh pieces! K’s romper is from Goodnight Macaroon, and it’s the perfect fit for all of our petite girls. The wrap bodice is so flattering, and the color/print is so so so vibrant and pretty in person! We think this look is perfect for an outdoor brunch paired with fun sandals or you can dress it up like K and wear it out to dinner. We love pieces that are easily transitioned from day to night because who has time to go home and change (unless you don’t care about making sure you make it to happy hour on time).

On to H’s look…

Can we please talk about the fact that this dress is from Abercrombie & Fitch?! We happened to be walking about it’s storefront and this little sweetie dress caught our eye. A&F has done an amazing job rebranding itself, and we give it a big stamp of approval. Back in the day, we were A&F store models, and this look definitely brought back a feeling of nostalgia. Anyhoo, the off-the-shoulder and lace combo is perfect for spring and summer, and it comes in petite sizing. H is wearing a 00 petite, and it is the perfect length for flats or heels.
