I would like to consider myself an intelligent person. Why I was possessed to book a 7:30 AM flight this morning is a question I can not answer. What the hell was I thinking?! I’m back in Houston to get everything ready for a wedding event Hailey and I are vendors at and I’m running a great deal off of caffeine and prayers. It’s incredible how the human body can run on little to no sleep. A friend once told me that you can 10 days without sleep before dying. Great information to know, right?!
Imagine that, I found a new velvet piece that I could just die over. This Free People top is the best thing I have ever purchased from Revolve. The material. The bows. The open back. The bellowing sleeves. Swoon. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I can’t get enough of it! It has personality to the max.
Keeping it short and sweet since my to-do list is calling screaming my name and so is Hailey telling me to get my shit together! She’s going to be waiting a VERY long time! 🙂
Happy Monday, friends! Can we just talk about the Justin Timberlake concert last night?! Paul and I were on our way to work this morning and we were listening to some radio talk show and they were saying how underwhelming it was?! I’m sorry…but WTF! I thought it was amazing and sang along the whole time. And I loved the Prince tribute. Serious tears! I grew up listening to Prince because my mom was an absolute fan girl, therefore so am I. My mom, Hailey, and I are going to the JT concert this year and that performance made me even more excited! So all the haters can hate, but I’m still a Justin Timberlake fan.
About the dress…
I’ve never been one to wear a form fitting dress, but the lace got me on this LBD. I’m thinking about wearing it to a wedding this weekend because it really shows off my booty which I’ve been working on. We’re going to Destin for Spring Break so I’ve been getting the bod in shape!
Paul and I are going to see The Greatest Showman for a little date night in North Park. I also needed a few things from Nordstrom so I thought I would share what I got! I’m super lazy and I just ordered it online to pick up in-store so I don’t have to walk around. It’s the best thing they have ever offered to their customers.
I’m really into mustard as of lately. The color, not the condiment. It’s great transitional color for Spring and I love a wrap dress when I want to accentuate my waist line. The floral pattern is oh, so pretty for a date night or if attending a wedding.

I didn’t pack my normal face wash on this trip since I flew to Dallas and only packed a carry-on bag (I deserve an award for that.) I’ve never used this cleanser before so I will let y’all know how I like it!
Happy Friday! HOW THE HECK IS IT FEBRUARY?! I seriously can’t get over the fact that we completely flew through January like a Gossip Girl binge session. Way. Too. Fast. Even though I’m still mourning that I put all of my Christmas decorations up in the attic, bring on the red roses and pink candy for the month of love! (Making Paul take me to Central Market tonight so I can get some Valentine’s Day candy!)
Last year on Valentine’s Day, I was newly single and I was lucky enough to not spend the holiday alone! I was at NYFW with my sister and two of our girlfriends, and spending the day with them made my heart so happy that I didn’t even care that I didn’t have a significant other. And what better place to be than in New York with your girlfriends!

This year on Valentine’s Day, I’ll be in Las Vegas working so on the 15th Paul and I will celebrate in Dallas. Not sure what we’ll be doing, I’ll just be happy that we will be together! I’m also celebrating with my girlfriends, because you can’t forget about your girls when you’ve finally met the man of your dreams! I’ve teamed up with one of my very best friends, Jess of jessicacrum.com! She’s the sweetest, most kind-hearted, caring, and beautiful (inside and out) friend I’ve ever had and we met through blogging! We’ve teamed up with Joy Box Fine Flowers to show some love to your favorite gals! If you’re sending flowers to your best friend, sister, mom, or any special gal in your life, Joy Box is offering 10% off through February 9th with code GALENTINES10. The flowers last 7-10 days, they come in a gorgeous box, and a handwritten luxe notecard! February 11th is the last day to order to ensure your order gets to your favorite gal on time! We ordered the “Lady In Red” and “Le’Moderne Large – Rouge Edition” – we’ll definitely be keeping the boxes because they are just so darn pretty!
Happy Wednesday, lovelies! To all who have been following my journey on finding a cure for my dry under eyes…I have found a solution. Over 200 of our followers gave me suggestions on what to do for my horrible situation. I’m talking cracked, peeling, painful, dry eyes. It was awful. It sounds like I’m crying about a terminal illness (we all know I’m slightly dramatic) but it truly was ruining my life! Many of you suggested a prescription steroid cream and coconut oil. So, I did just that. My mom had a steroid cream from a burn she had and I slathered that and coconut oil all over my eyes and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning IT WAS COMPLETELY GONE. PRAISE JESUS. HALLELUJAH. I wouldn’t wish dry under eyes on my worst enemy. I will say the steroid cream kind of discolored my face for a day, and thankfully it went back to normal within 24 hours. Y’all, I hope I never have to deal with that again.
Now to the real reason for this post! I’m not a big accessorizer. I have my staple pieces that I wear everyday like my ring and bangle. Mostly because I’m running late and that leaves me little time to perfectly pick out accessories to go with my outfits. BUT. I always have fun earrings on! Statement earrings have always been my go-to. I get it from my Nana, she loves to wear a sassy pair of earrings to spice up her outfits. Whether you’re running errands, going to work, or out for date night, throw on a pair of fun statement earrings and you instantly look put together! They’re always my saving grace when I didn’t put much thought in to an outfit! I’ve rounded up my favorites! The turquoise Kendra Scott’s are giving me major heart eyes! Which one is yours?!
Happy Friday! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it’s one of my favorite holidays. To be completely honest, I used to scoff at the idea of such a holiday, but now I just see it as another excuse to get a cute outfit, good drinks, and fabulous dinner out of it. Last year, we had a little Galentine’s Day wine night with our best blogger gals and it was the best way to celebrate since I was newly single! This year I’ll be in Las Vegas with H and Ling, but on the 15th Paul and I are having a little date night in Dallas! I can’t wait to wear this little red dress! For years our Nana has always told us that red is our color, and I’m finally starting to listen to her (listen to your nana, folks…they’re always right LOL). Y’all know I’m a sucker for lace and the cut outs make it a little sexy and flirty. A sassy dress is always my go to for Valentine’s Day and here are a few other options!
