Happy First Anniversary to Jacob and I! This first year of marriage has been the best, hardest year of my life, and I couldn’t imagine doing it while holding anyone else’s hand but his. We’ve seen so many milestones in this short amount of time as a married couple: new jobs, pregnancy, bringing our first little angel Earth side, another new job, and so many ups and downs in between. As our time as newlyweds was limited, I feel so honored and blessed to get to witness Jacob being a daddy to our Lily Rae. God most certainly created Jacob to be Lily girl’s favorite person in the world, and to see her smile when he walks into the room is only a fraction of proof of how much God loves his children. I’m the luckiest bride to have him, and as much as I tell him I’m going to give him back (LOL) I still get the same butterflies that I did on our first date four years ago. So here’s to being Jacob’s forever bride in all of life’s valleys and peaks together.

So in honor of our first anniversary…

I’m SO happy to finally be sharing a few of our favorite photos from our wedding album here on the blog. I had the most amazing vendors bring my vision to life, and I couldn’t have been happier looking back on our most beautiful day.

Here’s a breakdown to all of my vendors and wedding details! We balled on a major budget, and that should definitely not be a reason to compromise on what’s important to you!

For makeup and hair, Kailey did all of the beautifying for the day, and she killed it! We’re so blessed to work in this industry (holla to our dream team of a company, Sunkissed & Made Up), and I’m more than proud (and maybe a little cocky) to say that I had the best of the best. I have to give Kay a very special “thank you.” Like the wonder woman she is, she did all of the hair and makeup for all seven of my bridesmaids, mom, mother-in-law, and grandmothers with a dislocated shoulder. Major props to this forever soul mate of mine. I didn’t have a particular hair or makeup look for each of my girls, I simply asked for them to choose romantic and soft styles! Braids, glowy skin, bronze eyes…perfection.

I went with a Courtney Leigh Photography, and I truly mean it when I say Courtney Brown is probably the sweetest, most genuine, creative girl you’ll ever meet. She became fast and dear friends of Kailey and mine, and we absolutely adore her. Besides all of that, she does stunning film photography. That was definitely something that I wasn’t going to compromise as I love fine art film photography, and she absolutely captured the day perfectly with her artistry and shooting style.

Chad Cornwall from Flower Power Productions was the genius behind my florals, and he NAILED it. I asked for lush, overflowing bouquets and arrangements, and that’s exactly what this amazing perfectionist gave me! Chad is amazing to work with, and he absolutely understood my style and vision. His creations were way more magical than I could have ever hoped for!

Natalie Holland of Jade Magnolia was the magical unicorn behind my STUNNING cakes! She not only gave me one cake, but three! All three were beautiful and so yummy! She also helped with styling the reception and coordinating the flow of events, and she was the absolute sweetest to work with! I’m so sad to say that her cute little family have moved back to California. So for all of our West Coast readers, she is hands down so amazing!

You would never have known if you weren’t there, but the Texas sky decided to open it’s flood gates right as our ceremony was ending. We held the reception at Jacob’s childhood home, and we had no plans for a Plan B if the weather decided to turn on us. We ended up cramming 120 guests in my in-law’s shop for the first hour of the reception! It was madness. However, the champagne was being poured, the guests were having an amazing time visiting with everyone, and I was married to my forever person so I would say it was still pretty perfect. When the rain stopped, our amazing family, friends, and vendors rallied together and was able to seamlessly set up our backyard reception area just as I had envisioned it.

The day magical, and so is our life together. Happy Anniversary to my soulmate and man candy, Jacob. I love you.
