Happy Friday! And better yet, Happy Fourth of July weekend! Kind of…like why is July 4th on a Tuesday? It’s not like Easter or Thanksgiving where it falls on a certain Sunday or Thursday, it’s an ACTUAL date! Get out of town! Lucky us, we get every Monday off therefore it’s an extended weekend for H and I! Bring on the watermelon and fireworks!

I woke up this morning feeling an itch to do some super glam make up and curl my hair all nice and what not. HUGE mistake. The minute I stepped foot outside I was drowning in humidity and I DO NOT care how much you set and “bake” your face, when it’s 95% humidity you might as well be diving head first in to the ocean. If you’ve never experienced such conditions, come visit Houston in the middle of July.

To beat the heat (and humidity), I’ve been living in tank combo’s. These light jeans and shorts have been my go-to uniform lately in efforts of not dying from a heat stroke. Call me dramatic, but it’s REAL. I bought this silk tank when I was in Charleston, a definite eye  catcher for it’s versatility. The fabric material can be dressed up or down! I’ve rounded up my favorite tanks for the summer and ones that I’m sure you’ll love! All are most certainly light, cool, and breezy.
