Happy Monday! I took a little break last week after all of the sale mayhem to enjoy a trip to New York City with Paul. There’s just something about the city that is so magical and romantic and even more so during the holidays! Paul did so good at finding our hotel, we stayed at The Westhouse with a view of Time Square from our room! Highly recommend, great customer service and the hotel is beautiful! Tuesday evening we went to Phantom of The Opera and a dinner at Bagatelle, drinks at The Standard (my absolute favorite), and a final night cap at Catch. Wednesday morning we had breakfast at the hotel, a really lovely stroll through Central Park, and we spent the afternoon walking around The MET. I’ve never actually gone inside, only had a few Gossip Girl re-enactments on the steps and a handful of photoshoots. We had lunch with one of Paul’s best friends, walked around 5th Ave., and then found our spot in Rockefeller Center to watch The Christmas Tree Lighting. Let me just tell you, it was equally thrilling and terrifying to be in a crowd of 500,000 people! But it was so magical to be there with Paul and to check the show off of my bucket list. We ended the night with room service and movies, such a perfect night! Thursday morning we got to be in the live audience of Kelly and Ryan, it technically wasn’t live because it will be aired on the 21st so make sure you tune in, LOL! The celebrity was Kate Winslett and I about died. After the show, we had lunch and shopped in Bryant Park, and then dessert at The Plaza. I’ve mentioned before that The Plaza is the most magical place in the world and I was so excited to show Paul. I absolutely love New York City and was so sad to leave. It was by far my favorite trip there, no fuss over outfit changes or fashion shows. Just me and my guy and New York.

Traveling is so good for the soul and I can’t get enough of it! There’s a certain excitement of packing a suitcase and headed to the airport that isn’t like anything else! I typically don’t look this cute traveling, mostly because I tend to pick super early flights and I am NOT a morning person. Just ask Paul, he found that out real quick last week! I absolutely loved putting this sassy ensemble together. I don’t wear black that often but I loved strutting around in it, the black on black is so chic. My Tory Burch Tote is my favorite bag to travel with because it holds so much! I’m talking a cosmetic bag, laptop, a few magazines, camera, wallet, and a book. So. Much. Stuff. My mini skirt it is from my store Saltflat and it’s one of my favorite pieces from our newest collection!

Where are you traveling to this holiday season? Let me know in a comment!
